UPDATE: No more load shedding anticipated

Public urged to reduce electricity usage.

ESKOM has said there are no further plans for load shedding this week but it urges the public to reduce electricity usage to assist in preventing a recurrence of load shedding.
This after a silo collapsed at the Majuba power station in Mpumalanga on Saturday.

“Eskom terminated load shedding on Sunday, 2 November despite experiencing a very high supply constraint. Load-shedding was prevented this morning by gaining back some of the units at the affected Majuba power station. In case of an outage, customers are urged to switch off all appliances to assist in preventing nuisance tripping and extended outages,” said eThekwini Municipality’s communications head, Tozi Mthethwa.
