Police offer safety tips as part of their campaign against crime.

BRIGHTON Beach SAPS continued its crime awareness campaign on Wednesday, 3 December in Clairwood, this time with a focus on pedestrians.
Communications officer, Captain Louise Le Roux created a brochure focussed on safety tips for being cautious when traveling to and from work. In partnership with Brighton Beach SAPS crime prevention and Park Patrol, 600 brochures were distributed to the community.
“Pedestrians fall prey to common robbery, aggravated robbery and assault while walking to and from work,” said Capt Le Roux, explaining the reasons behind the brochure aimed at pedestrians.
The brochures included the following:
Brighton Beach SAPS management thanks Park Patrol for their partnership and Capt Le Roux and Constables Sakhile Mkhize and Mlungisi Chiya for their active participation.
