MONTCLAIR SAPS warns residents to be on alert as another hijacked car was found abandoned on the roadside on Friday, 11 September.
While on patrol, Constable Mthembu came across a blue Toyota Etios that appeared to be abandoned in Cathcart Road, Woodlands. His suspicions were confirmed when a check of the car revealed it had been hijacked earlier that day.
It was taken when three men approached a driver who was leaving home in Phoenix at about 6.30am.
“The community is urged to be vigilant, especially in Bathurst and Cathcart Roads. If you see anything suspicious call 10111,” said communications officer, Warrant Officer Poobalan Marimuthu.
