VSC volunteers sought

Community members asked to help.

RESIDENTS are urged to volunteer their time for the Montclair SAPS Victim Support Centre.

The 24-hour support centre is in need of volunteers who are willing to give of their time to help victims of crimes.

The office is looking for people over the age of 40 to volunteer for four hours per week.

According to communications officer, Warrant Officer Poobalan Marimuthu, no qualifications are necessary.

“The person must be passionate and have the ability to communicate with and advise victims of crimes. The basic hours will be from 10am to 2pm with no remuneration but in-service training will be given,” he said.
