Brochure campaign educates shoppers about domestic abuse

Awareness campaign speaks about domestic violence.

IN an ongoing bid to educate the public, 1,250 brochures on domestic abuse were handed out to community members by Brighton Beach SAPS officers on Tuesday, 8 December.

On Tara and Bluff Roads Park Patrol Security members held up placards for the domestic violence awareness campaign, while Park Patrol’s ‘Koekies’ and Brighton Beach SAPS’ Captains Louise Le Roux and Sarel Kruger handed out 500 brochures.

Capt Le Roux and Warrant Officers Belinda and Theo Van Noordwyk then handed out a further 750 brochures at Bluff Towers, Super Spar and Hillside Mall.

Brighton Beach SAPS management thanks the Park Patrol volunteers for their active participation and for sponsoring the brochures, the local malls for hosting the event, Capt Le Roux for producing the brochures and placards and all the police officers for their participation.
