Bluff family held at gunpoint

A BLUFF family was held at gunpoint in their home on Thursday, 4 August.

According to Blue Security operations manager, Brian Jackson, three armed men climbed over a wall of a Marine Drive home just before 5pm.

“The gang then walked into the house through the unlocked kitchen door and held up a mother and her children. The robbers fled in the family’s car with jewellery, cellphones, a video recorder and cash. There were no injuries reported,” he said.

Residents are warned to ensure their homes are always securely locked.

“Locking security gates when you are at home during the day and in the evening and installing layered security such as an electric fence and external beams in the garden provides an early warning system that can buy you time in an emergency.”
