Bikers use Easter run to share serious message

IT was another successful Easter run for motorcycle club, Throttle Brothers on Saturday, 8 April.

IT was another successful Easter run for motorcycle club, Throttle Brothers on Saturday, 8 April.

This year, Throttle Brothers, joined by other clubs such as No Problems, First Knights and The Vikings,  took it up a notch and invited all the children who they give Easter eggs to, to a funday set up at the Ogle Road grounds in Wentworth.

There were jumping castles, food, more Easter eggs and music for both children and parents to enjoy.

It was not all fun and games as the bikers also gave an awareness talk on drugs, violence and more to equip the children with knowledge and to inspire them to be great.

As in previous years, the bikers visited different streets in Wentworth, handing out Easter eggs to the excited children.

“This year however our focus is the Wentworth community area, where gangster related crimes have escalated exponentially recently. We feel our motorcycle club efforts can make a positive impact in this community, by showing them that we care about the community and their future,” said president, Gavin Jenkins.
