Durban military officers receive health advice

Health was one of the main topics of discussion at the event, especially TB.

MILITARY units from across Durban, including navy, military, and the air force congregated at the Bluff military base sports grounds on Friday, 12 April to take part in the walk/ run event.

Health was one of the main topics of discussion at the event, especially TB. A health talk was given by Area Military Health Unit KZN officer commanding, Colonel Trevor Pillay who provided prevention advice and information on the causes of TB. He also urged each officer to visit the health tent situated at the grounds.

While waiting for the event to begin, they had the opportunity to socialise with other officers from different bases and were educated on the risk and prevention of TB.
