JUST IN: Man killed in Yellowwood Park shooting

Coedmore Road is currently closed while police are busy

A man believed to be in his 40’s has been shot dead on Coedmore Road in Yellowwood Park this evening (Monday, 20 May).

Just before 7pm tonight, Rescue Care Paramedics were called to a shooting incident and upon arrival, paramedics found community members trying to resuscitate the male.

“Advanced life support took over the resuscitation. After half an hour of attempting to resuscitate the man, he was declared deceased due to the severity of his injuries. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, ” explained Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care Paramedics.

At this stage the details leading up to the shooting incident are unknown, however police are in attendance investigating. Coedmore Road is currently closed while police are busy investigating the shooting incident.
