Another stolen vehicle recovered on the Bluff
A Nissan bakkie was reported stolen earlier in the evening
ET Rapid Response Tactical Team from the Bluff impressively chased and recovered a stolen vehicle on Friday night, 31 May.
A Nissan bakkie was reported stolen earlier in the evening on the Bluff and one of the reaction officers on duty, Craig Coldron, patrolled the area looking for the stolen vehicle. “He came across the vehicle in the Jacobs area. When the driver saw that he has been spotted, he sped away resulting in a small chase when the thief abandoned the car near Mondi and escaped into the darkness,” explained reaction manager Louis van Ryneveld of ET Rapid Response Tactical Team.

Craig said that he would have loved to have apprehended the suspect but will however continue the hunt for him. “It was an awesome way to start my long weekend. All I can say is that I learnt a lot from Sgt Jooste and his crew members, the members of Brighton Beach SAPS, members of the CPF/COP, my boss Anthony Lokker and my little brother Louis. Everyday is a new challenge as you don’t know what to expect in this kind of work but I love it,” he concluded.
