Aspiring pageant princess continues celebrating humanity
Miss and Mr Luminous SA is not only a pageant but also an organisation which seeks to empower young boys and girls to become successful leaders.
MOWAT Park High School’s very own pageant princess, Nokwethemba Cele continues to shine in her quest for beauty with a purpose, having secured being a finalist at the Miss and Mr Luminous SA 2019 pageant while helping her community.
She has achieved this through her community campaign, Celebrate Humanity, which is all about celebrating humanity in every way. “A particularly disturbing issue that I have noticed is how many teenagers disrespect their elders as well as their peers so this campaign is to encourage young people and teenagers to give respect and love to all regardless of the person’s age,” Nokwethamba shared.
“I feel like my peers don’t really know which path to take and through this campaign, I hope to give them direction. We will have programmes whereby we speak about teenage issues and possible solutions. This campaign is all about helping those who are in need in the community. I want myself and others to celebrate humanity, to love unconditionally and practice kindness among one another.” The campaign is sponsored by Dasha models agency to which she is signed to as a model.
Miss and Mr Luminous SA is not only a pageant but also an organisation which seeks to empower young boys and girls to become successful leaders. The pageant does not have size and height restrictions and therefore gives everyone a chance to shine. “I am looking forward to participating with girls from other provinces. I will do my very best so that I get recognition in this pageant which will be taking place in December, with the hopes of becoming the next miss Luminous SA,” she said with determination.
