Popular WI member and scribe passes on
"Angela was a very well read and intelligent lady and was always willing to help in so many ways," said the Stainbank WI president, Arlene Greenfield.
WITH heavy hearts, Stainbank Women’s Institute, bade farewell to its popular member, Angela Peters at St Etheldreda’s Anglican Church on Monday, 9 September in Woodlands. Hailed as a very active member of both Stainbank and Yellowwood Park Women’s Institutes, she was described as a very efficient and wonderful scribe who always submitted interesting news of the institutes to the SUN.
Angela was born in Egypt on 30 September 1937 and lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, 3 September. As a young girl she went to Addington Primary School, and later attended Mitchell Girls’ High School in Durban. She is survived by her two sons, Gareth and Richard.
“Angela was a very well-read and intelligent lady and was always willing to help in so many ways. She loved going on outings with the Stainbank WI and always enjoyed them and gave her full support. She was extremely passionate about any animals in distress and a very popular member of both institutes. Rest in peace dear Angela, you will be sorely missed,” said the president of Stainbank WI, Arlene Greenfield.
