LOCAL teams competed against each other in an ‘Amazing Race’ style competition held in different parts of Durban South to help raise funds for CHOC Cows on Saturday, 26 October.
Organised by FemFit Gym Bluff in partnership with a number of sponsors, the fun charity event was in support of the invaluable work carried out by, CHOC Cows, a group of people on a mission to make a difference to children with cancer and their families.

“We would like to thank each sponsor that played a role in the success of our Amazing Race 2019. We are super proud to announce that we reached the target of R10 000 and funds raised got donated to CHOC Cows. The support we received from the community was amazing! We would like to extend a special thanks to Sica’s Guest House that sponsored five vouchers for a night away for two, including breakfast, to the value of R9 000. We would also like to thank Nadene Lotz, Nandia and her sidekick Sone Helberg for putting this race together; they did an awesome job,” said Nandia Blom from FemFit.
Congratulations to all participants. The winning team securing first place was Eat Mor Chikin, followed by The Nerd Herd and Super Heros and Villians making it to third place. The team that won Best Dressed was The Racing Dead.
“To say the least we are overwhelmed with all the support from companies and our contestants in the Amazing Race. It was a day filled with fun, laughter, negotiations and lots and lots of stress, but all of this for such an awesome cause!
