JUST IN: Manhunt underway after woman killed on The Bluff

The victim's boyfriend is on the run following the deadly incident, with police intensifying their search for the suspect.

RESIDENTS on The Bluff are still reeling from shock after a woman was killed at one of the primary schools on August 2.

According to the information received from the police, the victim (35) returned to her house on Hollesley Road with her boyfriend after an evening out for drinks.

Circumstances surrounding her death are still sketchy at this stage, however, the police spokesperson for eThekwini District, Captain Carmen Rhynes, said the police are investigating the matter.

“It is alleged that a violent altercation ensued between the couple, culminating in the boyfriend assaulting the woman to death.

“Emergency services were called to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival. The suspect, identified as the victim’s boyfriend, has fled the scene and is currently on the run,” said Rhynes.

Police have launched an extensive manhunt for the suspect, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

“No arrests have been made, and the police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in locating the suspect,” Rhynes added.

This tragic event has shocked the community, and the police said they are working diligently to resolve the case and ensure justice for the victim.
