Record fuel price hike set for October

South Africa have breached the R30 per litre mark as the latest announcement show sky high prices.

MOTORISTS are going to have to dig deep into their pockets and budget wisely as the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announced that the petrol price will breach the R30 per litre mark.

Fuel prices for October

The prices for fuel for October would be:

  • Petrol 93- R29.88
  • Petrol 95- R30.25
  • Diesel (Coast)- R32.89

This is the highest amount paid by South Africans for fuel ever.

The previous drastic petrol hike caused by global tensions in the Middle East saw the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy implement a relief on the general fuel levy, however this time around there has been no mention of any sort of relief.
