CBD taxi crash injures 17

17 people were injured in a taxi-car collision in Durban on Monday, 2 June.

A COLLISION between a taxi and a car at the junction of Stalwart Simelane Street (Stanger) and Sandile Thusi Road (Argyle) injured 17 people on Monday, 2 June.

Rescue Care paramedics and SAP Search and Rescue had to call for additional assistance to attend to the numerous injured people, scattered across the road.

Two of the 17 had sustained moderate injuries, while the rest were less severe. They were all stabilised on scene and taken to various hospitals for further care.

The cause of the crash is not yet known, but police are investigating.
