Atvance Academy upskilling the youth for a better tomorrow

It’s almost that time of the year when the Class of 2020 receives their matric results, and for many who have not gotten into tertiary education or have not found employment yet, fear not because there are free courses in Eldorado Park.

It’s almost that time of the year when the Class of 2020 receives their matric results, and for many who have not gotten into tertiary education or have not found employment yet, fear not because there are free courses in Eldorado Park.

Atvance Academy is a South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) accredited company that partners with other companies to seek employment for the youth as well as upskill them through free Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) accredited training.

“Courses available in Eldorado Park is Information Technology (IT) Support NQF Level 5 (Matric is mandatory for this one), project management (NQF 3), business administration (NQF), new venture creation (NQF 2), occupational health and safety (NQF 2). We are currently on the lookout for students who wish to study these courses with us. These are one-year courses where students come to class once a week for the duration of the 12 months and then graduate thereafter. Everything is fully paid for,” shared Justin Sengoatsi, the project management facilitator for Atvance Academy.

The company has over 172 rapidly growing campuses around South Africa with more courses to offer.

The criteria to be met are as follows:
• Students must be between the ages 18 and 27 years old
• Must be documented South African citizens
• Must be unemployed for the duration of the course
• Must be able to provide certified copies of your ID and highest qualification.
Sengoatsi added that even though they are looking for the class of 2020, matric is not mandatory except for the IT Support Course.
“We are calling upon all youth in and around Eldorado Park to take advantage of this life-changing opportunity and come and enroll with us. Ever since the inception of the Eldorado Campuses in 2017, we’ve seen about 900 students graduate. We would also like to urge all students who attended between 2017 and 2020 to come to our Eldorado Park offices and collect their certificates,” concluded Sengoatsi.
