Help needed for 1 KID campaign

The YMCA wants residents to be part of the 1KID Campaign aimed at hosting a Summer Camp.

YMCA will be hosting a camp for all the children involved in their Y-Zone aftercare program this summer from December 9 to 13.

“Unfortunately due to financial restrictions many of our children will not attend. We are working hard to make their dream of attending the camp a reality and thus requires resident’s assistance,” said programme co-coordinator Lebogang Kgatitswe.

She said that those who have attended a summer camp hosted by the YMCA know how memorable and life-changing the experience is.

“We would like to plead with residents sponsor any amount from R50 to R350 per child. Your small change can make big difference,” she said.
