Residents tutored about financial management
Bramfischerville resident learn how to manage their finances.
A financial workshop that will last until the end of November is bringing new hope to many residents in Bramfischerville.
The workshop is part of a programme called Financial Education.
It was made possible by Avocado Vision and Liberty.
These two companies have partnered to help execute the programme effectively.
Financial advisor at Avocado Vision, Flash Monahao, says the programme seeks to inform people about the difference between a want and a need, budgeting, money saving, insurance and life goals.
A need is something that is essential rather than desirable and a want is something desirable.
Monahao said people do not budget or plan on how to use their finances but rather decide to spend money on subordinate items.
“These are some of the issues we are trying to address in order to get people out of debts.
He said, “People should stop opening many accounts or buying alcohol and drugs but should consider saving.
“People become sick and don’t think properly because of debt.
Monahao said the training not only enlightens the trainees but it gives them a chance to improve their curriculum vitae.
“There are a lot of things one can do with the certificates,” he said.
People are advised to go attend the workshop at the Bramfischer Multipurpose Centre.
