Physical challenges make life hard

Malinga family appeals to government and anyone who can assist to help improve their situation.

Dumisani Malinga is physically challenged and his mother Joyce Malinga appeals to government and anyone who can assist to help improve their situation.

The Malinga family live in a shack in Zondi and the household survives on piece jobs Joyce comes across by chance.

Dumisani was born with a rare condition which resulted in his knees lacking cartilage at the joins, playing out as reality of Dumisani having to crawl for him to be mobile.

The Malinga family received a wheelchair for Dumisani late last year and he has been using it for mobility ever since.

He still suffers however because the family is still struggling with the most basic essentials and that affects Dumisani ten times more than it would affect an average individual.

“I’m most worried about his future because I’m really struggling to find a proper school for him and I don’t know if I will be able to sustain him being at special school because things are hard as it is.

“If anyone can help us find a school for Dumisani I would highly appreciate that,” Joyce said.

Anyone who is willing to help in the situation experienced by the Malinga family please contact them on 011 930 6484.
