Solo dancer to compete at IMTA
Sherwin Roman is looking forward to competing at the IMTA.
He entered the auditions last year and competed in the finals last weekend where he was placed first in the dancing category.
Roman will compete on an international stage in July, in New York at the IMTA’s where an average of 350 scouts are in attendance.
“This is an opportunity that will open doors for me,” said Roman who sees himself dancing in celebrity music videos and having his own studio.
He is now preparing himself mentally and physically for the competition.
“I was told to be physically fit and eat healthy so I will go into intense training,” Roman said.
His love for dancing came when he watched the movie You Got Served.
Roman has been dancing for 10 years.
To youth, Roman said: “It is possible to come from Eldos and achieve your goals”.
He said that constantly keeping busy doesn’t allow him to be distracted.
To add to dancing, Roman is also studying towards a degree on Theology and is doing an IT learnership.
