Breaking News: Shooting at Bara taxi rank

During a police operation by members of Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department, Tshwane Police Unit and JMPD at Bara taxi rank earlier today, a passenger was shot and injured.

According to JMPD’s Wayne Minaar a passenger was shot after a taxi driver drew a firearm on the police during the operation.

“One of our members then drew his firearm, shot at the taxi driver and unfortunately shot and wounded a passenger.

“The injured passenger was rushed to hospital,” said Minaar.

Minaar said an investigation is still ongoing.
