Chesanyama stick up at Ndofaya Mall

A business has been robbed in the wee hours of the morning by an unknown male.

There has been a business robbery this morning at Ndofaya Mall in Meadowlands.

At about 6:40am, a perpetrator allegedly told a security officer that he was from the Chesanyama head office, he then went inside the restaurant where the manager was already inside.

At about 7:15am, when the rest of the staff of the restaurant were reporting for duty, they found the manager’s mouth sealed with sellotape and her hands tied up together.

The safe was opened and an amount of +-R 52 000 was taken.

The victim claimed she was assaulted with an open hand by the perpetrator.

This resulted in her fainting on the scene for a while; as she was unconscious an ambulance was called and she was taken to Jabulani Hospital for evaluation.

A case docket has been opened and no arrests have been made.
