Early payment for SASSA beneficiaries
Social grants will be received earlier due to local elections.
Social grant recipients will be receiving their grants earlier thanks to the local government elections.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) announced yesterday that social grant payments for the month of August would be brought forward and would start from next week Wednesday.
In a statement released by SASSA spokesperson Shivani Wahab‚ the payments at pay points will run from next week Wednesday until Friday.
“There will be no payment at pay points from August 1-3 due to local government elections.
“Payment at pay points will resume on August 4, until the last payment date‚” said Wahab.
Wahab also mentioned that the money would be available without interruption from July 27 until August 25 for those beneficiaries using other payment methods such as ATMs and supermarket stores.
