Devland Cash and Carry on fire
Smoke from the fire of the burning Devland Cash and Carry could be seen all the way from Eldo's

A blaze started at Devland Cash and Carry on October 1 destroying the building as well as property. Three fire trucks were dispatched to contain the blaze and a pall of smoke could be seen as far away as Eldorado Park.

Emergency Medical Services have confirmed that no human life was lost during the fire.
Small business owners who purchase goods from the wholesaler will bear the brunt as most business owners buy goods from the wholesaler for resale.
Ludfie Rubidge said, “We will have to find an alternative wholesaler to buy from because we don’t know how long they will be closed because the place will have to be renovated and December is when we stock up on goods.”
Billowing smoke from the fire could still be seen on Monday following the blaze. Attempts to contact the owners for comment have proven unsuccessful.
