Kliptown police show some love to residents

Smiles brought on to the faces of many locals down in Kliptown

Kliptown police have been hard at work fighting crime and maintaining order in their policing area.

On Wednesday they took time off from their routine and showed some love to the people of Kliptown.

They did this by donating clothes to those in need.

The donation was made possible by police officers who work at Kliptown Police Station.

Police spokesperson Captain Hitler Ngwenya said: “This was just an act of kindness from police officers aimed at strengthening ties between them and the community.

“Beneficiaries of this act of kindness were residents of Mandela Square and Angola Informal Settlement. “Humanity’s progress is reliant on unity. We need to redesign and change lives so that those lives can change other lives,” said captain Ngwenya.

Ngwenya ended by encouraging residents and other stakeholders to support such initiatives.

Residents were happy to receive clothes donated by police officers.
