Rea Vaya to keep commuters updated throughout the day regarding bus operation

In the early hours of this morning, there were several protest actions in Soweto and other parts of the country over the #secretballot and #VoteOfNoConfidence.

In Bramfischerville and Dobsonville, taxis had to transport people back to the rank because of the blockades on the Soweto Highway and Main Reef.

The queues were very long at some Rea Vaya stations and at taxi ranks as well.

The City of Joburg also confirmed this morning that no buses will be operating and that the South African Police Service was trying to clear roads due to blockades.

Councillor and MMC for Public Safety in the Joburg, Michael Sun, tweeted photos shot from some of the areas where the protest action is happening.

Some Local Areas Affected By Protest Action
