Planned Water Interruption : Soweto – Zondi
Important Notice: Johannesburg Water
Residents are advised to take note of a planned interruption that will affect Zondi and surrounds from October 3 at 6 am to October 5 at 4 pm.
This is for Johannesburg Water to do a tie-in to the existing 1000mm pipeline next to the Zondi reservoir.
The planned shutdown is envisaged for 58 hours. Customers living within the reservoir zone may be affected a couple of hours after the commencement of the shutdown and customers living within the tower zone will be affected immediately after the commencement of the shutdown.
Affected Areas:
- Emndeni,
- Naledi
- Tladi
- Dobsonville
- Parts of Jabulani
- Zondi
- Zola
- Parts of Mofolo North
- Mmesi Park
- Protea North
18 Mobile water tankers will be roaming in the affected areas and 14 stationery tankers will be placed at Clinics, Shopping Centres and other strategic places.
