New Freshstop Dobsonville store opens and provides jobs for the community

George Nkosi, the Store Retailer, who was born and raised in Soweto, owns two other Caltex fuel retail sites in the area.

Local businessman, George Nkosi, officially opened the new FreshStop at Caltex Dobsonville store at 11900 Steve Kgane Street in Dobsonville, Soweto on 30 November 2017, which has been trading since August. The completely renovated and upgraded FreshStop store complements the revamped Caltex fuel forecourt, which features a new canopy with LED lighting, new fuel dispensers and the latest 20/20 Caltex imagery.

George Nkosi, the Store Retailer, who was born and raised in Soweto and owns two other Caltex fuel retail sites in the area, brings extensive business and industry experience to this new store and is looking forward to providing the community with great product and great service.  “I am completely elated that we have such a great offering for our customers and also relieved that everything is complete,” says Nkosi.

“We are proud that this conversion to the FreshStop brand has created new jobs and we now employ 41 people who are mostly from the local community. Our new offering is wide, exciting and different from other convenience stores and we look forward to welcoming residents and commuters to a great shopping experience.”
