Helping Hands in partnership with FAMSA hosted their annual sewing projects fashion show on December 7 at the Riverlea Recreation Centre.

The non-profit organisation Helping Hands in partnership with FAMSA hosted their annual sewing projects fashion show on December 7 at the Riverlea Recreation Centre.

We covered the event in the last issue of the year; however, the management of Helping Hands would like to express their gratitude towards everyone who supported the project.

Milly Harris who is the facilitator of the sewing class expressed the following; “Thank you to the Lord for being in the centre of this project. Thank you to the management of the Riverlea Recreation centre, to all the students for being so dedicated and always attending classes, the end product was your Wow Fashion show.”

“I was amazed as your teacher to what you all presented. I am so proud of you including my three private students. From sportswear, smart casual, evening wear and the showstopper and wow the children’s line was awesome.”

“Thank you to everyone in the community who supported this sewing project in every way, if it was just a few sewing needles, off-cut material, patterns, metres of material, wool, embroidery cotton and clothes, thank you. Thank you to Serrah, Leigh Ferley for borrowing your sewing machines when ours broke.

Thank you to Clive & Michelle Harris (KM Cafe), Avon, and Fina Narcisa Miambo for the platters, to Mo productions, Eugene Gotyana, a youngster who is studying fashion, thank you for your dedication in the short period.”
