Winston Hendricks(16) found dead along the corner of Hoof and Sirkel in Road Extension 5
The registration number and driver of the Bolt taxi has been identified and the investigation is currently still ongoing.
On Tuesday 01 September 2020 at approximately 20h45 members of Eldorado Park SAPS received a complaint of a dead body lying along the corner of Hoof and Sirkel Road Extension 5 Eldorado Park.
Upon arrival at the scene, the members found an unidentified body of a coloured male who sustained gunshot wounds to his stomach.
However, on Wednesday 02 September 2020 at approximately 14h00 a missing person case was reported at Eldorado Park SAPS.
It was alleged by the complainant that her 16-year-old son Winston Hendricks who resided in Concorde Street Extension 1 Eldorado Park had left home the previous day at approximately 19h45 to visit a friend in Willow Cresent Extension 3 Eldorado Park.

The complainant further alleged that the following day she went to the friend to confirm the whereabouts of her son as he did not return to his residence since she last saw him.
The friend then allegedly informed the complainant that he and her son had requested a W at Extension 3 Eldorado Park, and upon arrival of the requested vehicle, the driver had been accompanied by two African males who suddenly grabbed Winston Hendricks before they could even get into the requested taxi. The friend alleges that he managed to run away.
On Thursday 03 September 2020 during the investigation of the missing person report, the investigating officer accompanied the complainant and her nephew to the mortuary in order to verify whether or not any of the deceased unidentified persons may be that of the missing son.
Upon arrival at the mortuary, the complainant’s nephew positively identified the body that had been found at the corner of Hoof and Sirkel Road to be that of the missing person 16-year-old Winston Hendricks.
