A new role for young coach Njabulo Ngobese

Njabulo Ngobese, is a junior goalkeeper, a junior goalkeeper coach and a strength and conditioning coach at Prime Athletes. He prides himself on a career path that he has chosen. The young coach started coaching at the age of 18.

His love for coaching started at the age of 16 and was inspired by the passion and love his seniors would portray.

“The time, effort, love, patience, and commitment put in by both coach and players towards reaching common goals is what inspires me. Most importantly, assisting every hard-working athlete in building their careers. I have been a goalkeeper coach for 4 years now. I’m fairly new to the role with a lot of room for learning and developing further as a coach,” He stated.

The coach has had an opportunity of working with two early childhood development franchises, Little Kickers SA and Soccer Sized Stars who focuses on football education which is one of the important factors in football development.

“I have always known the importance of football in my life. I give my all when it comes to my goalkeeper coach role and thus far we have competed with different clubs of various levels,” He added.

Ngobese has also had an opportunity to learn from coaches from South Africa and Europe. “This encounter made me learn and develop my skills as I am still new in the goalkeeper coach role. From working with clubs I moved to work by myself as a one-on-one coach where I focus on three aspects of being an athlete namely the skills side, the mental side, and the physical side of sports,” He concluded.
