Get to know your Jnr Miss Eldorado Park
Razaan Lakay, Jnr Miss Eldorado Park 2021, Eldorado Park Secondary School, community, Pediatrician.
Razaan Lakay (14) from Eldorado Park Extension 4 was crowned Jnr Miss Eldorado Park 2021 and Jnr Miss Personality 2021.
Lakay is a learner at the Eldorado Park Secondary School also known as the Blue School. She shared that she did not expect to win the title although it was a bonus for her, she admits that entered the pageant to meet new people and gain experience as this was the first time entering a pageant.

“It still feels so unreal but I am so glad that I won because I can also help Kiara Da Gama (Miss Eldorado Park 2021) make a change in our community. People in our community can be very negative and I would like them to see the positive things that are happening in our community. Locals can also make a difference where they can, I do not believe that everyone should be for themselves,” said Lakay.
The fourteen-year-old would like to be a good role model for many girls in the community and explained that the title means being an example for others. If there was one message that she wants to share with the youth, it would be to believe in yourself because anything is possible.
When it comes to her experience of the pageant as a whole, Lakay said: “I learned that even though it was a competition, we could still support each other. I also gained self-confidence because that is something that I was lacking.”
When Lakay completes her matric she would like to study to become a Pediatrician because she wants to help young children who have parents who cannot afford to have medical aid.
Both Miss Eldorado Park and Jnr Miss Eldorado Park look forward to working on charity events in the community.
