Police arrest suspect linked to carjacking in Diepkloof
It is alleged that a 59-year-old victim was driving along the China street, in Diepkloof Zone 6 in the early hours of the morning of July 12.
The police have apprehended one suspect following a case of carjacking that was opened at the police station earlier this month.

It is alleged that a 59-year-old victim was driving along the China street, in Diepkloof Zone 6 in the early hours of the morning of July 12 when he was stopped at gun point by two unknown male suspects who blocked the road and instructed him to stop the vehicle.
“The suspect stopped as instructed and they jumped into the car, took control and drove with him to Meadowlands where they dropped him by the bush.”
The suspect managed to escape unharmed and headed to the police station to open a case. The vehicle, a black BMW 3series, was recovered in nearby house Zone 6.
