The event was aimed at paying homage to the class of 1976 and the lives lost during the struggle against apartheid. The event was attended by children who are beneficiaries of the organisation and their parents.
Children got a chance to be educated about the events of June 16, 1976 and their importance in the history of this country and them as individuals.
This was done through a musical play performed by the children. Parents also joined in on the celebrations with their own play which demonstrated the differences between the youth of 1976 and that of today.

Through their play, parents raised awareness about the dangers of alcohol, crime, GBV and all other social ills affecting today’s youth. They emphasised the importance of education and remembering that it was fought for by the youth of 1976.
