An alleged suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Eldorado Park on April 11 as police intensify crime-fighting operations.
According to Eldorado Park police, the arrest forms part of ongoing high-impact initiatives, including Operation Teka Hinkwaswo and Operation Skoon Maak, aimed at stabilising crime hotspots and increasing police visibility across the precinct.
The arrest was made Saturday night in Juweel Street, Old Eldorado Park.

Crime Prevention members, working alongside Gauteng Traffic Wardens, were conducting routine visibility patrols when they approached an unknown male.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Fezeka Khobo said the suspect was searched after granting permission, leading to the discovery of a .38 special firearm in his pocket, along with live ammunition.
