Case against couple postponed

The two accused will remain behind bars until their next appearance.

The court case of the two suspects arrested in connection with the murder and mutilation of two Soweto boys has been remanded to May 5.

The suspects made an appearance before the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Accused one, Nqobile Ndlovu (50), the grandmother of Tshiamo Rabanye and her 39-year-old partner , accused two Mthunzi Mzwakhe Zulu face two counts of murder, kidnapping, perjury and defeating the ends of justice.

Magistrate Tshepiso Maepa said the matter was postponed in order to allow accused number one to have her attorney present in court.

The pair told the court that they would apply for bail while the state indicated its intention of opposing the bail application.

The accused will remain in custody until the next appearance.
