WATCH: Mutilated bodies of two boys discovered in Rockville

No arrests have been made thus far and Brigadier Shivuri said they have launched an investigation.

Residents of White City and Rockville have been left shaken following the discovery of two bodies of children in an open veld on Thursday morning.

The two bodies of young boys have been allegedly mutulated.

“Last night at around 20:00 in our WhatsApp group we received a message about two children who had gone missing.

“Their parents were already at the police station to report the matter,” explained one of the patrollers,” Thabisa Payi from White City.

“As patrollers we started searching at about 2:00 this morning and that’s when we discovered one of the bodies.”

The patroller said the boys had been playing near Thokoza Park when they went missing.

It was three boys but one managed to run away when they were chased by a white car.

Police and residents of the area are still on the scene as the search continued this morning for missing body parts.

Brigadier Sevha Shivuri , station commander at Moroka Police Station confirmed that parents reported the two boys missing last night.

According to the Station commander, they started the search immediately last night and the two bodies were found this morning with some body parts missing.

No arrests have been made this far and Shivuri said they have launched an investigation.
