Six illegal foreigners arrested for theft and damage to infrastructure in Eldorado Park.

The police arrested six illegal foreigners on December 2 for the possession of suspected stolen property and damage to essential infrastructure at the Ext 1 power station in Eldorado Park.

Intelligence-driven information the police received about suspects planning to steal cables from the power station made the arrest possible.

Police seized R250 000 worth of cables from foreign nationals.

A team comprising Eldorado Park SAPS detectives, Eldorado Park Crime Prevention, and crime prevention wardens monitored the situation.

“Officers spotted a Toyota Corolla matching the description near the power station with the suspects inside.

“The officers stopped, searched, and arrested the suspects. The suspects are detained at Eldorado Park SAPS for investigation.”
