Police K9 recovers stolen firearm in Naledi
This comes after three suspects who were attempting to rob a lady of her cellphone.
Members of the Soweto K9 Unit were patrolling around the area when they received information about three suspects who were attempting to rob a lady of her cellphone at the Naledi railway line on May 13.
The members swiftly reacted to the scene. Upon arrival, they spotted one of the suspects mentioned, who was carrying a brown bag.
When the suspect noticed the police, he threw the bag away in a field and fled the scene.

The police member then utilised his dog, King, to search the area.
Moments later, King reacted positively to a search, which led to the recovery of a bag containing a 9mm pistol with 10 live rounds.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the firearm, with its serial numbers still intact, was reported stolen in Moroka on May 9.
No one has been arrested yet. Police investigations are continuing.
