Burnt human remains found in Eldorado Park, SAPS investigates

Eldorado Park SAPS is probing the discovery of burnt human remains in an open veld near Sulaiman Jada Street in Ext 6.
Members of the community alerted police at about 20:35.
Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, communication officer for Eldorado Park SAPS, said orange Croc sandals and fragments of clothing were found next to the body.
Police confirmed that photos and videos of the remains had already been shared on social media when they arrived.

“The integrity of the scene was, therefore, violated.”
A woman later turned up at the station, stating that the deceased was her mother, who had been missing since March 2025.
The authorities said forensic testing and examination are ongoing to confirm the identity and cause of death.
SAPS warned the public against interfering with the crime scene, stating, “The only thing they can do to assist is to call the police.”
