Eldorado Park: Anti-gang unit nabs suspect with unlicensed firearm
Authorities urge anyone with information on illegal activities in Eldorado Park to contact SAPS.
Members of the Anti-Gang Unit were conducting crime prevention patrols in Eldorado Park Extension 8 on 6 June when they apprehended a suspect in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
While patrolling along Kwartz Street, the officers stopped at a spaza shop and encountered a wounded male suspect.
Upon requesting permission to search him—which he granted—the officers discovered a 9mm Glock pistol with a filed-off serial number, along with 12 live rounds of ammunition concealed at the back of his waist.

The suspect, who had allegedly pretended to be disabled and injured, was immediately arrested and detained at Eldorado Park SAPS.
He is currently in custody pending further investigation and is expected to appear in the Magistrates’ Court soon.
