Two friends, one dead, found in an open field in Protea
It is alleged that the two friends went out to celebrate one of their achievements: Securing a job.
What was meant to be a night of celebration turned tragic when two women, aged 24 and 26, were discovered by a passerby in an open field along the N12 road in Protea Ext 8 on November 8.
The pair had allegedly gone out to celebrate after one of them found a job and was set to start training soon. Both women sustained bullet wounds to their upper bodies.

Paramedics arrived on the scene, where one of the women was declared dead, while the other was rushed to the hospital.
According to Johannesburg District Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mpho Tshetlhane, the motive behind the incident remains unknown, and no arrests have been made at this time.
The Protea Glen police are continuing their investigation and are working diligently to trace the suspects.
