Police have arrested one suspect following a mass shooting at Diamond Street Flats in Old Eldorado Park on March 14.
The shooting, which took place at around 22:35, left two people dead and six others injured.
According to Eldorado Park SAPS media liaison officer Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, the victims were attending a private gathering in a closed garage when a group of around 10 men in a white bakkie opened fire.

“The suspects arrived without saying a word and started shooting at the victims inside the garage, as well as anyone else nearby,” Khobo said.
Paramedics declared two people dead at the scene, both suffering multiple gunshot wounds, while six others were rushed to Baragwanath Hospital for treatment.
Police recovered several items at the scene, including 17 spent cartridges, three projectiles, and three live rounds, all 9mm.
Khobo said the investigation is ongoing. “We are using all available resources to trace the remaining suspects and the firearms used in this attack,” she said, appealing to the public for help.
