Third suspect arrested in Jabulani Hostel murder

Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a murder at Jabulani Hostel on March 18.
According to Joburg district corporate communications co-ordinator Lt Gen Mpho Tshehlane, the 26-year-old suspect was apprehended in Jabulani.
She was expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, March 25.

The arrest follows a fatal incident on March 18 at about 13:00, when a 27-year-old man was allegedly attacked with a crowbar and sticks, Tshehlane confirmed.
The victim was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
Tshehlane added that two other suspects, aged 22 and 24, were arrested on March 19 and appeared in court the following day.
The motive for the killing remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as efforts continue to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.
