While conducting crime prevention patrols in Soweto on April 14, JMPD’S TRU officers received information about a red VW Golf 1 reported stolen in Vanderbijlpark.

The tracker GPS co-ordinates signalled that the vehicle is in Braamfischer, Dobsonville.

The officers searched the area and successfully located the vehicle parked inside the yard of an abandoned house in Phase 2, Braamfischer.

“The recovered vehicle was booked in at Lenasia SAPS pound,” said JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla.
