JMPD leads Easter road safety drive in Dobsonville
Drivers reminded to check vehicles and drive responsibly.
JMPD Community Outreach leadership and staff, together with CoJTransport, GP, CommSafety, and the Road Accident Fund staff, joined the Putco team at the Putco Depot offices in Dobsonville on March 31.
The objective of this initiative was to address unsafe driver behaviour and to encourage all drivers to prioritise the safety of their passengers, fellow motorists and pedestrians during the Easter season.

Residents are advised to take note of the following safety tips:
– Drivers must ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy. Safety checks are necessary before and during trips, and are essential to prevent accidents:
• Adhering to speed limits
• Avoiding distractions such as mobile phone use while driving
• Maintaining a safe following distance, showing patience and courtesy on the road.
• Drivers must ensure that passengers are seated safely and loading limits are not exceeded
• Avoid driving while fatigued.
