JMPD officers recover 15 packets of suspected drugs at Senaoane home
The suspect was arrested for possession of suspected illegal substances and detained at Moroka SAPS.
While conducting routine patrols in the Senaoane area on June 3, JMPD TRU officers observed two suspicious men standing outside a corner house on Umgeni Street, allegedly exchanging items.
The officers discreetly monitored their movements and noticed one of the men enter the property. A few minutes later, he returned and shook hands with the other man, raising further suspicion.
“The officers approached and searched both individuals. During the search, one of the males was found in possession of suspected illegal substances.

“Further investigation led the suspect to take officers into the house, where an additional 15 packets of suspected illegal substances were recovered,” JMPD stated.

“JMPD remains committed to combating drug-related crime and removing illegal substances from our communities. Those involved in the sale and distribution of drugs should take note: Law enforcement officers will continue to intensify operations to ensure safer neighbourhoods for all residents,” JMPD added.
