Police launch manhunt after fatal shooting of transport driver in Westbury
It is alleged that the victim has just dropped off school children and was about to park his vehicle at a flat.
Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for two suspects following a fatal shooting incident in Westbury on September 07.
It is reported that police received a complaint of a shooting incident at approximately 08:10. Upon arrival, police found a 53-year-old scholar transport driver with multiple gunshot wounds.
It is alleged that the victim had just dropped off school children and was about to park his vehicle at a flat in Westbury when two unknown men approached him. They opened fire.

The victim was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The suspects fled the scene in a blue Volkswagen Polo, and the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.
Sophiatown police have opened a case of murder, and no arrests have been made; police investigations are continuing.
