Pimville, Kliptown power outage caused by cable fault
Residents in Pimville and Kliptown are still without electricity. No restoration time yet, says Eskom.
Eskom technicians are still attending to the power outage affecting Pimville Zones 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, as well as Kliptown.
The power utility attributed the outage to a cable fault.
“A test van has been dispatched to identify the location of the fault.

“At this stage, we are unable to provide an estimated time of restoration. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused,” Eskom stated.
The power went out on the evening of July 23. It was restored in Zone 2, Pimville, at 09:30.
Eskom is working on restoring power in the remaining areas.
